Adult Faith Formation for Lent

Adult Faith Formation

The Adult Faith Formation talks on Knowing God even Better continue each Thursday in Lent; the theme on Thursday 27th is “ Knowing God’s Presence.”

The talks are delivered via DVD from David Payne, a speaker from café (Catholic Faith Exploration).

In the first three weeks the talks covered, Knowing the Father’s Love”; “Knowing Jesus as Lord” and “Knowing the Holy Spirit as Friend”.

Following the talks everyone has a chance to discuss what they heard and what it meant for them in their lives and in the practice of their faith; the discussion takes place in a very relaxed and informal fashion, over a cup of tea and a slice of lemon cake (special Lenten dispensation for those attending the talks.)

The final two sessions on Thursday 3rd April and Thursday 10th April will cover “Knowing the great commission”; what is it our baptism has commissioned us to do and “Knowing my faith calling”; how do I sustain my faith and the faith of others in my parish and my life?

Each Thursday talk is a discrete subject, so you don’t have to have attended any of the previous talks to benefit enormously from the forthcoming sessions.

The talks commence at 8.00pm in the Parent Room, St. Patrick’s Primary School, Killyman Road. Please Note, entrance is via the convent car park.
