Anointing of the sick

 

"By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priests the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them. and indeedshe exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ."

A special communal celebration of the Anointing of the Sick is usually organised on/around the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes (11 February). Dates and times will be published on the website and in parish bulletin.

 

First Friday Visits

Each first Friday of the month, in honour of the Sacred Heart, the Priests and Deacons of the parish bring the Blessed Sacrament to the sick and housebound, and are available for Confessions and the Anointing of the Sick.
