Altar Servers' Initiation Mass
The parish would like to thank all our altar-servers and their parents for their generosity in volunteering to be an altar-server. The parish greatly appreciates the commitment made by our altar-servers in all four churches of the parish (Dungannon, Edendork, Killyman and Clonmore) and the unique and special role they play in enhancing our parish liturgies.
The parish would like to invite our new servers and their families to a special Mass in which all our new altar-servers will be formally welcomed and initiated. This special Mass - to mark the feast of St John Berchmans, patron of altar-servers - will take place at St Patrick’s Church, Dungannon on Thursday 27th November, 2014 at 7:30pm. Our guest speaker for the Mass will be Niall Morgan, Tyrone goalkeeper.
While the Mass is intended primarily for our new altar-servers, all altar-servers and their families are most welcome to attend.
RETREAT / FUN DAY!
After the success of our retreat day last year, all altar-servers of the parish all invited to this year’s retreat / fun day, which will take place on Sunday 14th December, 2014 at St Patrick’s PS, Dungannon (Killyman Road), beginning with registration at 1:30pm and ending at 4pm.
The retreat day, led by Fr Ryan and the parish HALO Youth Group, will include workshops on faith, art, games, prayer as well as additional training and catechesis on their important role. It will be a great opportunity for our altar-servers’ across the four areas of the parish to meet each other and have a bit of craic!
